A little History ...
In 1385, in the famous Battle of Aljubarrota, the Portuguese army adopted a new military tactic called "square", whose right wing led by Mem Rodrigues de Vasconcelos, became known as "Ala dos Namorados". The "Ala dos Namorados" was composed of about 200 young soldiers, with strength and bravery unparalleled. Driven by a great interior light, they fought by Portugal, by their loved ones and ultimately for ensuring that their children would be portuguese.
