WINE

Wine, οἶνος in ancient greek, vinum in latin, means wine or vine and is an alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting grape juice. The origin of the wine has great historical value, having emerged even before the writing. The wine was a product that accompanied much of the economic and socio-cultural development of various civilizations, western and eastern, and various periods in humanity history. For sure it is not known its origin because each culture and their people count it differently, according to their beliefs and traditions. For Christians it was Noah who planted the first vineyard, to the Greeks was a gift from the Gods ... for winemakers arose by chance through a handful of crushed grapes that were accidentally forgotten in a container and suffered the effects of fermentation. In Portugal, the first reference to wine production dates back to 989, in the Douro, being this zone the oldest demarcated region in the world.
