Vintage Port is the highest classification that can be assigned to a Port wine. It is obtained from the harvest of a single year and from a single vineyard, being a name given only in years of exceptional quality, considered because they represent the best production of a single unmatched year, which turns them in unique. This Port wines has a balanced, complex and very distinct flavor, where are sometimes perceptible roasting aromas like chocolate, cocoa, coffee, aromas of spices such as cinnamon and pepper; and even fruit aromas. Vintage Port wine may be enjoyed while  young, however their improvement and aging in bottle may occur over many decades, since they are considered the most durables of all Port wines.
