Vinha Maria Teresa, named after the first granddaughter of Constantino de Almeida (founder of Quinta do Crasto), is a century-old vineyard and one of the oldest on the farm. Located on the eastern slope of Quinta do Crasto, with excellent sun exposure and planted on terraces next to the Douro River, at extremely low altitudes, Vinha Maria Teresa occupies an area of 4.7 hectares, impressive for its beauty and, above all, for its unique characteristics of old vines.

For more than 100 years, wine producers in the Douro planted a little bit of everything from the varieties they had available, since the ultimate goal was to produce Port Wine and this fortified wine had that special characteristic of being the result of several mixed grapes of different varieties. The end result was then a vineyard where the planting of varieties had been random and diversified, and in which it was possible to find a large number of different varieties.

Color: Opaque, with vibrant shades of deep violet.
Nose: Extraordinary complexity, where fresh notes of spice, rockrose and wild Douro fruits predominate, all in perfect harmony,
resulting in a unique combination of great freshness and aromatic depth.
Mouth: exuberant and seductive beginning, evolving into a compact wine, composed of fine-textured tannins, very well integrated with aromas.
wild fruit and fresh spice complexes. A unique and distinguished wine that finishes elegant and very persistent.
