Portal Vintage 2003+ came about after we were surprised by a batch of Touriga Nacional wine from young vines at Quinta dos Muros.
In 2003, we declared a second Vintage that, like the classic, was widely praised by international critics, both wines having been classified among the 5 best wines of 2003.
The fruit here is also immense, but fresher and younger, which combined with powerful tannins make this wine dense, intense but smooth and pleasant.
Production was about a third compared to the 2003 classic.
