REGION

Despite being a region quite popular for its excellent features to practice tourism at national and international level, there are few who know the wines of the Algarve. Its geographical particularities, with southern location and a mountain barrier that protects against the cold winds of the north of the country confers to Algarve a warm, dry climate with little wind, ie, typically Mediterranean. These characteristics, for wine production have repercussions on their high alcoholic content. The geography of soils is diverse, but the vines are installed in sandy, shale and clay lands.
